HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. We start this week by saying a great Gang “well done” to Eloise and Hamish Jack who have been chosen to take part in the World Scout Jamboree next year.
Eloise and Hamish, who are both members of the Journal Gang, will travel to Japan with six other Scouts from Salisbury.
They wrote to tell me that they each have to raise £3,500 to pay for the trip and want to thank everyone who has helped them with their fundraising so far.
Eloise and Hamish also want to say a big “hello”
to their dad Major Ian Jack who is in the army and is serving in Afghanistan – I bet he is very proud of you both.
Well done, Eloise and Hamish. Thanks for sending in your picture and please let the rest of the Gang know what it is like to go to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan, it sounds like a wonderful opportunity.
This week I have tickets to the fantastic Scooby- Doo show at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre up for grabs, and we’ll be wishing lots of Gang members ‘happy birthday’ too.
See you next week,
Jill
