HELLO everyone, and welcome to this week’s Journal Gang page.
No doubt everybody is back at school now and settling back into normal life. I hope you are all enjoying your new topics at school. My favourite subject at school was always history. There is nothing better than finding out more about the Tudors or the Victorians.
But without doubt my favourite time period in history was the Romans. Did you know, for instance, that the Romans had a settlement at Old Sarum? It even had the original cathedral based there before moving to New Sarum, now Salisbury.
Did you also know that Salisbury was officially called New Sarum until as recently as 2009?
Well, that is enough history from me folks. This week we are finding out about a fundraising walk to help children of service parents and you have a chance to win tickets to Once Upon A Snowflake at the Arts Centre.
