Welcome to the Journal Gang's web pages. Here you can find Jill's weekly newsletter, containing information about what is happening on the Gang page in the paper and pictures of competition
winners. Don't forget to visit our fun links page, where you can find lots of games and exciting sites to visit on
the internet, and our new gallery of pictures that you've sent in. If you are aged 13 or under and would like to join The Journal Gang click here and fill in our online form now. Because we've changed the way we run the Gang, even if you used to be a member you need to fill out the new form to make sure you aren't left out. New members receive a welcome letter, certificate and badge, their own membership number which means they can enter all our Gang competitions, and they also get a special mention in the paper just before their birthday. Hi everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang. Now the holidays are here there are plenty of fun-filled events to keep you busy in the weeks ahead.
Here's a list of some of the things that are happening in the next seven days.
Saturday August 2
Bemerton Heath Fun Day, Salisbury High School, 1pm - 5pm, includes BMX track, extreme sports, car boot sales, live music, BBQ and much more. Free event.
Action Time, Salisbury Children's Library 11am - 11:30am. Under 5s and friends free.
Sunday August 3
Salisbury Dogs Trust Fun Day and dog show, Rehoming Centre in Newton Tony, 11am - 4pm, £1.
Natural History at Rockbourne Roman Villa, make your own dragonfly, 10.30am - 1pm then 2pm - 4.30pm.
Monday August 4
I went to the Animal Fair', animal masks and fantastically furry stories Salisbury Children's Library 10am - noon, all ages, free.
Make A Wizard Staff Workshop, Salisbury Arts Centre 10am - 4pm, ages 11 - 14, £17 with booking essential. Contact: 01722 321744.
Tuesday August 5
Dragons and Damsels pottery workshop, Salisbury Arts Centre, 10am, price is £10. Booking essential, contact: 01722 321744.
Wednesday August 6
Team Read Party, Salisbury Library, 5.30-6.30pm, limited places, collect a free ticket from the library.
