Scouts aim to be real high-flyers

10:54am Thursday 18th June 2009

HI everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page.

I’ve been sent a great poster in the Gang post from Wilton Cub Scouts who are holding a paper plane challenge on Tuesday, June 23.

This high-flying idea is raising money for children with leukaemia and it sounds like a great evening.

It costs £2 to enter your own paper aeroplane in the competition and there are prizes for the longest flight, best design and the best decorated planes.

There will also be a raffle, drinks and stalls and this is a great way to find out more about what Cubs get up to.

If you would like to be part of this fun event then take your paper planes along to Wilton Scout Hut on Warminister Road in Wilton at 6.30pm on Tuesday, June 23. Thanks for letting me know about the event Wilton Cubs – I hope it takes off and is a real success.

If you are a member of a club or group and want me to mention your news then send it to me at the Gang address.

This week, we’ll be finding out about a fantastic theatre project which children have been involved with at Salisbury Playhouse and you could win tickets to see If Only the Lonely Were Home.

I’ll see you next week.

Jill
