Keeping the Olympic flame burning brightly

HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. Did you manage to see the Olympic Torch as it came through Salisbury? I know that hundreds of you lined the route or saw it at Hudson’s Field , and then last Thursday the champion runner Michael Johnson carried the Flame through the Cathedral Close. The whole event was very exciting with lots of brilliant entertainment. It’s made me look forward to the Games even more.
Here’s a picture of Gang winner Mitchell Macey who won the recent competition to see Steve Backshall at Salisbury City Hall. Mitchell and his cousin Ben had a great time listening to Steve talking about his expeditions and got this great photo afterwards. This week we’re finding out how one school marked the recent Armed Forces Day and you could win fantastic passes to the Oceanarium in Bournemouth.
