CLASSIC fairytales are being given a new twist in a series of family shows coming up at Salisbury Arts Centre.

On Sunday, February 3, Ripstop Theatre is presenting Sally and the Sunflower, pictured, an inventive retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Using puppetry and projection, the show follows a girl who plants a seed and journeys into strange lands full of giants and magic.

For half-term there will be a new performance of Rapunzel with music, movement and storytelling.

Rapunzel will be letting down her hair on Friday, February 15 at 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Rounding off a month of classic stories, Norwich Puppet Theatre brings the Hans Christian Andersen favourite The Tinderbox to the Arts Centre on Saturday, February 23 at 11.30am.
