THE second concert in the Eberle Plus series is taking place in Downton on February 3 at 3pm.
The Eberle Quartet will be joined by French horn player Fiona Brockhurst, to play the Quintet Op 85 for Horn and Strings, by British composer York Bowen.
Fiona, pictured, studied with Douglas Moore at the Royal College of Music and plays with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, La Folia, Salisbury Brass Ensemble, Decadent Brass, and Salisbury Sinfonia, with whom she has played numerous concertos.
The programme will also include Beethoven’s String Quartet op.74, nicknamed The Harp.
The concert, part of the Quartet’s 20th anniversary celebrations, is at St Laurence’s Church and tickets are available on the door at a cost of £12 to include tea and cakes.
