MULTI award-winning comedian Mark Thomas is coming to Salisbury Arts Centre with a comic, yet touching, new show.
In Bravo Figaro, Thomas tells the true story of his father, a builder and opera fan who was diagnosed with the degenerative illness supranuclear palsy, and his attempt to stage an opera for him in a bungalow in Bournemouth.
It is a tale that mixes emotion and humour and brings Thomas’ focus close to home.
Best known for his political activism and quest to take on some of the world’s most well-known corporations, Thomas has exposed abuses of civil liberties, uncovered arms dealers and succeeded in changing laws.
He has walked on the wall in the West Bank, set a world record for his political protests and secretly filmed torturers.
His career has included six series on Channel 4, three books, several television documentaries and a series on Radio 4.
Thomas has also had several sell-out live tours and Bravo Figaro has attracted wide critical acclaim.
Mark Thomas Bravo Figaro, Salisbury Arts Centre, Sunday, February 3, 8pm.
