Remembering Veronica

Veronica Stewart Veronica Stewart

A FUNDRAISING evening in memory of a passionate supporter of the arts in the Salisbury area is taking place next month.

An evening of words and music, called If Music Be The Food Of Love..., will be at the Salberg Studio, Salisbury Playhouse, on February 17 in support of the Veronica Stewart Arts Trust.

Mrs Stewart, 62, pictured, died from skin cancer in April 2011 and the trust was set up by her family and friends to keep her passion for the arts alive.

Philip Wilson, former Playhouse director, and actor Hattie Ladbury, have been working together to compile a programme for the fundraising evening, which will include some of Veronica’s favourite writers.

The trust is dedicated to helping young people into a career in the arts world and the first financial prize is set to be awarded in April.

If Music Be The Food Of Love… begins at 6.45pm with canapés and wine, with the performance at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £25 and can be bought from the Salisbury Playhouse box office by calling 01722 320333.
