A PLAY based on Terry Pratchett’s novel Going Postal is taking to the stage next week at Studio Theatre in Ashley Road, Salisbury.

And Sir Terry, who lives in Broad Chalke, will be attending the gala evening on the opening night, February 20.

The production, adapted by Stephen Briggs, is about the resurrection of Ankh-Morpork’s postal service and is described as a tale of love and revenge –- and stamps.

The play has a wide and varied range of characters, and gives Studio’s actors, both well-known faces and newcomers, challenging opportunities to flex their creative muscles.

The play, which is part of the studio’s 60th anniversary season, is directed by Alistair Faulkner and runs from February 20 to March 2 at 7.30pm, except on February 24 and 25.

Tickets for the Gala evening are £12 and all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.

The usual ticket price of £10 and £8 (concessions) will apply to the rest of the run, and all tickets can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre in Fish Row or by calling 01722 334956.
