REVIEW: Milkshake
4:19pm Wednesday 20th February 2013 in Entertainments
THE stars of Channel 5’s early morning children’s wake-up call Milkshake brought a riot of colour to Salisbury’s City Hall.
This feast of fun proved a hit with pre-schoolers and their parents as they jiggled along to the infectious music and saw their favourite characters make a lively transition from screen to stage.
With appearances by preschool heroes Fifi and Bumble, the Bananas in Pyjamas, Roary the Racing Car, Noddy and Little Princess alongside two of the Milkshake presenting team and a talented crew of musicians and dancers, there was plenty to keep the very youngest theatre-goers spellbound.
The two short halves were well suited to the attention spans of the under fives and there were plenty of opportunities for them to join in the fun.
This fast-paced, energetic show combined nursery rhymes, dance routines, new songs and fun to great effect.
And with the sound of our two-year-old singing the Bananas in Pyjamas theme tune all the way home still ringing in our ears, it was clear it made a lasting impression on Salisbury’s toddlers.
