Choirs join for charity
THE 60-strong Bournemouth Male Voice Choir, pictured above, will be visiting Salisbury for the first time in its 90-year history to join with the St John Singers in a concert at St Thomas’s Church on Saturday, March 2.
This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a performance by a visiting male voice choir, and the Bournemouth choir is regarded as one of the best in the south.
The concert will include wellknown religious and secular pieces and, with 50 St John Singers joining the Bournemouth choir, it promises to be an evening to remember in the historic church.
The concert, which is raising funds for the local branch of Cancer Research UK, starts at 7.30pm, and tickets priced at £10 (children free) can be bought in advance from Musicroom in Catherine Street, 01722 328181, or on the door.
