A FUNDRAISING evening in memory of a passionate supporter of the arts in the Salisbury area took place at the weekend.
An evening of words and music, called If Music Be The Food Of Love..., took place at the Salberg Studio, Salisbury Playhouse, on Sunday in support of the Veronica Stewart Arts Trust.
Mrs Stewart, 62, died from skin cancer in April 2011, and the trust was set up by her family and friends to keep her passion for the arts alive.
Philip Wilson, former Playhouse director, and actor Hattie Ladbury compiled a programme for the fundraising evening, which included two of Mrs Stewart’s favourite writers, David Michaels and Holly Harman.
The trust is dedicated to helping young people into a career in the arts world and the first financial prize is set to be awarded in April.
