CABARET performer Bethany Jameson and her award-winning Cabaret Vérité quartet are coming to Salisbury Arts Centre this month.
The quartet has already wowed audiences at the National Theatre, performed at two of Time Out’s top ten cabaret venues in London – The Battersea Barge and The Pheasantry – and toured Dorset.
And the show, On the Banks of the Seine, is being billed as “an unforgettable evening of hilarious new cabaret comedy and truly enchanting music”.
The band members are all established international names in their own right.
Arranger, composer and band leader Romano Viazzani is joined by virtuoso violinist Declan Daly, whose credits include recording for Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. On double bass is Ben Hazleton, Young Jazz Musician of the year 2003.
The show is a nostalgic evening of French chansons from the 1930s to the 70s, and sultry Argentinian tangos which have long been part of the musical landscape of Paris. The show will be at the Arts Centre on April 12 at 8pm. Tickets are £10 or £8.
