CLIENTS visiting Smith & Williamson’s office in Salisbury can enjoy the latest exhibition by the Army Arts Society.

The exhibition, which runs until August 16, features 46 paintings and sculptures by 14 members of the Army Arts Society, including Alix Baker.

She said: “It is an appropriate relationship considering their office is in a very large military area and the annual exhibition of the society is held about 100 yards from their office.”

Jackie Shears from Smith & Williamson said the accountancy company has a keen interest in art and a history of displaying art in its offices. “We have a nice large office here with a lot of wall space and our clients like to see something nice while they’re waiting to discuss their tax troubles.

“We’ve been working with artists for the last three to four years and it’s a good way of them promoting their work.”
