A SALISBURY artist has been shortlisted for the prestigious Threadneedle Prize.
Harry Chrystall, a former pupil at Chafyn Grove School, has been selected from more than 3,500 artists to have his work displayed at the Mall Galleries in London ahead of the competition judging.
The Threadneedle Prize is the leading competition for figurative and representational painting and sculpture.
At £30,000, it is one of the most valuable art prizes in the country and visitors to the exhibition are also asked to vote for their favourite work, with an extra £10,000 going to the winning artist.
Previous winners and shortlisted artists include Rose Wylie, whose work is currently on show at Tate Britain.
All works are for sale and the exhibition gives collectors and members of the public the opportunity to invest in works from up and coming artists.
