REVIEW: Slava's Snowshow
4:40pm Thursday 3rd October 2013 in Entertainments
CLOWNS, snow, zany costumes, floating balls, water umbrellas and squishy telephone boxes – you’ve never experienced anything quite like it.
But – strangely enough – it worked.
Slava’s Snowshow is a feel-good interactive show that follows five clowns on different adventures, from being in a boat to a bed and wrapping the audience in different objects, with the audience never knowing what’s coming next.
Created and staged by Slava Polunin, it is rated as a classic from the 20th century, and its loveable clowns on mysterious missions cleverly work together to producing some hilarious moments.
The clowns, who are played by different actors on different nights, were cheeky and fun, as expected, and left the audience always wanting more.
Although it’s a family/children’s show, it provides an entertaining night for all ages.
The show is on at the Mayflower until Saturday.
