MR Pickwick’s Christmas is the festive offering in support of the Godshill Players.
The one-man show, performed by storyteller Robert MacCall and based on Dickens’ work, features Mr Pickwick and his friends travelling by stagecoach to enjoy an exuberant country Christmas at Dingley Dell.
A spokesman for the Godshill Players said: “There is a wedding, any amount of eating and drinking, dancing, games, skating, and a ghost story.
“All the delights of an age long past, brought vividly to life. A perfect seasonal entertainment.”
* Mr Pickwick’s Christmas is at Godshill Village Hall near Fordingbridge, at 7pm on Saturday, December 14.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £6 for children, to include a seasonal ploughman’s supper (bring your own wine).
Tickets from: Fordingbridge Bookshop, Woodgreen Shop and Jo Watson on 01725 512512
