Teens stage their own version of Cinderella
IMPRESSARIOS of the future are staging their own pantomime in aid of a school in Salisbury.
Tom Humphreys and Leah Hampson, who are both 17, have written their own version of Cinderella which they are staging at Exeter House School with some of their friends.
Tom, who is also playing Buttons, said the cast were all between 15 and 18 and included current and former members of Salisbury Playhouse’s Stage ’65 Youth Theatre.
He said: “We directed a play in our final year at St Joseph’s and thought we would do another one.
It has been enjoyable but difficult and everyone is committed.”
Charles McGrath, 17, who is playing Baron Hardup, said: “It’s great to be part of such worthy cause and I hope that as many people as possible are able to join us for what will certainly be an entertaining experience.”
Other members of the cast include Jess Pickford, Aodhan Burnell, James Foreman, Emily Milner and Katrina Darg-Forsyth.
Three performances of the pantomime will be staged in the school hall.
These will be at 7pm on December 12 and 13 and 3pm on December 14.
Refreshments will be available.
