SINGER Jamie Eldridge swapped the stage for a stadium at a celebrity football tournament at David Beckham’s London Soccerdome, next to the O2 Arena in Greenwich.
Eldridge, 18, from Salisbury, was nominated to take part in the Soccer Six event by fans following him on social media sites and travelled to London on December 1.
Soccer Six has been running since 1995, promoting celebrity sport and holding events and tournaments.
Past celebrity footballers have included the likes of Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams, Jude Law and Katie Price.
Eldridge, who played alongside celebrities from shows including Hollyoaks and Geordie Shore, said: “I’m certainly no great footballer but it was amazing fun, with immense team spirit.”
The singer said his next project will be a song co-written with X Factor contestant Tom Mann, which has been recorded and will be released on his YouTube channel and iTunes in the new year.
