SWASHBUCKLING fun can be had at the Mayflower in Southampton as the theatre stages its annual pantomime.

Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates stars Lesley Joseph of TV’s Birds of a Feather fame and comedian and TV personality Brian Conley.

They are joined by Kathryn Rooney in the role of Polly and Andrew Ryan who plays Mrs Crusoe.

Conley, who takes the title role, is no stranger to Southampton audiences, having played Fagin in last year’s sell-out show Oliver!

Joseph, fondly remembered as the “neighbour from hell”

Dorien Green in the BBC’s hit sitcom, will play The Enchantress of the Ocean.

Producer and director Michael Harrison said: “We are delighted that Brian and Lesley, two pre-eminent figures in the world of entertainment, will head the cast of Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates.

“This production has got something for everyone including an abundance of laughs, sensational musical numbers and stunning visual effects, and is the perfect festive treat for all the family”.
