THE Snowman is flying into Southampton next month.
The Birmingham Repertory Theatre production, based on Raymond Briggs’ children’s classic with music and lyrics by Howard Blake, is visiting the Mayflower Theatre from January 21 to 25.
The Snowman, which first appeared as a book in 1978, tells the magical story of a young boy’s adventures when his snowman comes miraculously to life on Christmas Eve.
A glittering host of international snowmen and women will be joined on stage by an array of colourful characters including dancing penguins, magical reindeer, a beautiful snow princess, Jack Frost, and Father Christmas himself.
The show aims to be a treat for all the family and is suitable for children aged four and upwards.
