WORKSHOPS of all kinds will be run at Salisbury Arts Centre over the coming year.

A range of ten-week arts, crafts and dance courses begin in January, and there will also be one-off activities or short courses to choose from, including a return for the popular Improvisation with Chimpro from January 15.

From writing and felt-making to contemporary dance, there’s something for everyone to try.

Workshops are delivered by qualified and experienced tutors, offering expertise in a variety of creative fields.

People can try creative writing with a published author, develop craft skills with professional artists and give dance a go with a specialist tutor.

There’s a choice of youth companies for creative young people, offering opportunities to work towards the Arts Award or simply develop new skills. The Arts Centre’s youth dance companies regularly perform curtain raisers for professional dance productions.

Creative panel UpstARTS gives young people aged 13 to 19 years old opportunities to organise Arts Centre events such as Hijack Open Mic.

Workshop courses can be purchased as Christmas gifts, and courses have limited availability with booking required by early January.
