FROM stuffed birds to live rats, meteorites to torn tissue, and old nails to an antique teapot stand, an array of items have been used to create photograms on display in Salisbury.
The works are part of a new exhibition at the Urmson- Burnett Gallery using photograms, which are images created by light but made without a camera, a process used by the inventor of photography William Fox-Talbot in the early 19th century.
The exhibition has attracted submissions from across the UK, and includes artists from Hungary, Malta and the USA. Exhibition organisers Urmson-Burnett Gallery will be awarding a £500 prize to one selected artist when the show moves to central London next month.
The show opens at the Winchester Street gallery on Saturday and runs until February 15.
