PIANIST Cordelia Williams will be performing at Avon Valley Concerts’ first concert of the year on February 14.
Williams won the BBC Young Musician Award piano section in 2006 and has since gone on to an illustrious international career. She first performed for the Avon Valley Concerts music society in 2011 and is returning by request.
For this second visit, Williams teams up with violist Emma Richards.
Both musicians are keenly sought after as interpreters of contemporary music.
The concert will be at the Trinity Centre in Ringwood at 7.30pm, with a programme including works by Schubert, Schumann and Brahms as well as Britten.
Tickets are £12 for adults or £2 for students, and children under 16 go free. Tickets are available from Greyfriars Community Centre, Ringwood, Grants Estate Agents or at boxoffice.com.
