SALISBURY Sinfonia will perform the second concert of their current season at St Francis’ Church, Salisbury, on Saturday, February 8.
Nicholas Wilks will conduct the orchestra for the first time and principal horn player Fiona Brockhurst will be the soloist for the performance of Mozart’s 2nd Horn Concerto.
Brockhurst is well known locally as she teaches at the Cathedral and Godolphin schools and performs widely with ensembles in the area.
The concert will open with Mendelssohn’s evocative Hebrides Overture and conclude with Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony.
Tickets are available in advance from Salisbury Tourist Information Centre for £10 (children free) or on the door for £12.
The concert will take place at St Francis’ Church, which is a chance of venue for the orchestra, at 7.30pm on Saturday, February 8.
