SINGER Beth Nielsen Chapman is to play at Salisbury City Hall later this month, and the Journal has a pair of tickets to give away.

From writing hits for other artists to recording her own, the Nashville-based singer-songwriter has truly embraced musical diversity.

She has penned numerous hits and written songs for many top artists including Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, The Indigo Girls, Michael McDonald, Amy Grant, Keb Mo’, Roberta Flack, Waylon Jennings, Faith Hill, Willie Nelson and many more.

Hit record This Kiss, sung by Faith Hill, garnered her a Grammy nomination.

And Chapman was Nashville NAMMY'S 1999 Songwriter of the Year.

On her latest album, Uncovered, she rolls out a batch of premium songs she’s written but never recorded, which have already been hits or covered by other artists.
