HORRIBLE Histories is coming to the Mayflower.

The popular children’s series branched out from books and TV into live shows eight years ago, and since then Birmingham Stage Company has presented many different shows, both in the West End and on tour.

Now comes the world premiere tour of Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain, complete with all new 3D special effects.

Barmy Britain is adapted by Terry Deary and Neal Foster from Deary’s best-selling Horrible Histories books.

Terry Deary is the world's best-selling nonfiction author for children and one of the most popular children’s authors in the country.

He has written 200 books, which have been translated into 40 different languages.

His 50 Horrible Histories titles have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide from China to Brazil.

Birmingham Stage Company is well known for its acclaimed productions of The Jungle Book, Kensuke’s Kingdom, Skellig and Roald Dahl adaptations including George’s Marvellous Medicine and, currently, James and the Giant Peach.
