A LITERARY festival is coming to the New Forest in July.

The Curious Arts Festival will be held from July 18 to 20 in the grounds of Pylewell Park, a mansion near Lymington.

Many authors are scheduled to attend, including Lady Antonia Fraser, Tom Holland, DBC Pierrre, Owen Sheers and Deborah Levy.

The programme features 50 talks, films, music and an inaugural cricket match.

There will be five tents, one of which will be a film tent, an early morning cartoon club for children, a breakfast club with journalists as well as “bibliotherapy”, with books prescribed especially for each reader.

Live music will be performed in the evenings and ghost stories told at midnight.

Food and drink will be available.
