SALISBURY Concert Band shone in a concert at Leehurst Swan School on Saturday.

The varied programme included The Wrong Note Rag, 633 Squadron, highlights from the musical The Lion King, Pie in the Face Polka and music from Pirates of the Caribbean.

There was also a performance by the A-levels Singers from Bishop Wordsworth’s School.

The band was formed in 2005 and has around 65 members who play a selection of well known classic hits and songs from the shows.

They perform at least three concerts a year under the baton of musical director Chris Holmes.

The musicians will now start preparing for their next concert at Salisbury Arts Centre on Saturday, July 1
