THE Arts Centre was filled with vibrant colour as Cbeebies’ Sid Sloane brought his new show to Salisbury on Tuesday.
His welcoming smile and energy are exactly as we remember him in his Cbeebies shows, which include Let’s Play.
We sang some old favourites including Happy and You Know It and went on an imaginative adventure to look for Sid’s lost socks.
A magical box became every conceivable mode of transport, from a car to a submarine, and we all joined in an underwater bubble party with our fishy faces.
Eventually we landed on a Caribbean island and travelled to the jungle – had the monkeys turned Sid’s socks back into wool? – and then on a magical knitting planet before returning home with a beautiful new pair of socks knitted by a friendly alien.
Sid drew on all his experience and produced a show full of songs, bright colours and audience participation; we even had to collect mysterious pieces of wool strewn around the auditorium.
A fun show that makes you realise the endless possibilities of an empty cardboard box.
