YOUNG actors will be going back to 18th century London with their latest production at Salisbury Playhouse.

Stage ’65 Youth Theatre will be performing Nell Leyshon’s Bedlam next week.

Bedlam, the city’s infamous and ancient hospital for the insane is under the evil influence of Dr Carew.

When May, a beautiful country wench, is put away after her sailor sweetheart goes missing, the inmates suddenly find themselves surrounded by even more madness than usual.

Featuring a host of crazy characters and a barmy bundle of adventures, Bedlam explores a serious historical period with a vibrant mix of compassion and comedy.

Join Stage ’65 Youth Theatre in their riotous trip to the asylum.

Nell Leyshon is a South West dramatist and novelist, born in Glastonbury and living in Dorset.
