THE music of Mozart and Janácek is to feature in the next concert to be given by the Eberle Quartet in their series, Eberle Plus.
The concert is to include one of Mozart’s beautiful late quartets, K589 in B flat, which will be followed by Janácek’s second string quartet, the intensely dramatic and personal Intimate Letters quartet.
Guest performer at this concert will be actor Garth Bardsley, pictured right, who will be reading extracts from the composers’ letters.
The quartet comprises violinists Daphne Moody and Jennifer Knights, cellist Muriel Daniels and Moira Alabaster on the viola.
The concert will be held on Sunday, May 11 at the Church of St Laurence in Downton at 3pm.
Admission is £12 (£6 concessions).
