A CONCERT of works by Mozart, Weber and Stravinsky are to be presented by Salisbury Sinfonia at the weekend.
Tim Murray will conduct, and the concert will feature Kimberley Ward on clarinet.
The orchestra is made up of local players and often uses young, local soloists to give them a performance platform.
Murray has just conducted at the Royal Opera House and has forthcoming performances at the Royal College of Music and the Liceu Opera House in Barcelona.
Salisbury Sinfonia’s new season will be announced at the end of this concert, to be held at St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury, at 7.30pm on Saturday.
Murray said: “We are excited to announce the new Salisbury Sinfonia Season.
“Once again we show our commitment to local and young talent, working with three outstanding soloists, in concerts that should inspire and delight.
“It is my 11th season with the orchestra, which is going from strength to strength.”
