THE latest exhibition at Salisbury District Hospital features paintings and photography which take inspiration from local landscapes.

The photography displayed on Level 3 is by Martin Cook, who is a member of staff at the hospital.

He said: “Photography is a passion, not my day job.”

There is a broad selection of his work, inspired by a passion to not only depict landscapes in Wiltshire, but also from towns, cities and people.

Cook is donating all profits from the sale of his photographs to the hospital’s Stars Appeal charity.

The work on Level 4’s main corridors is from students at the Angela Corben Art School.

Most of the students started the acrylic beginners’ class three years ago. Some were novices and some have returned to their previous art training after a break.

Most are exhibiting for the first time and they have focused on technical skills and experimenting with creative approaches through a series of projects on different themes.
