CIRCUS show Rime, based on Coleridge’s epic poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, saw thrilling acrobatics, dance and aerial work keep the audience’s eyes glued to the stage throughout the onehour performance. The company creatively recreated the troubled journey of the mariner with lots of action.
There was a slight hitch at the start of the show when one of the moves was abandoned partway through, but everything else was impressive, with fearless performers carrying out jaw-dropping stunts.
The set-up does slow down the pace of the show with the story getting lost at times.
