REVIEW: Pinocchio

Salisbury Journal: REVIEW: Pinocchio REVIEW: Pinocchio

FOR a small wooden puppet, Pinocchio had plenty of exciting adventures, and they were all crammed into this lively and creative show by the acclaimed Hiccup Theatre Company.

A cast of four actors played all the parts with the help of puppets, musical instruments, projections and an ingenious set that was used to great effect. There was never a dull moment as Pinocchio visited the Land of Toys, turned into a donkey, joined a circus and then got eaten by a whale where he was reunited with his long-suf fering papa.

There were plenty of songs, clever effects and creative theatrical ideas which gave this show a good pace for its young audience.

It was exciting without becoming menacing.
