SALISBURY Arts Centre will once again bring the Media Dreamspace Tent to Larmer Tree Festival this year.

Melding performance and media, this creative space will be packed with an exciting range of activities and spectacles for festival-goers.

With workshops running between noon and 6pm from Thursday, July 17 to Sunday, July 20, the Media Dreamspace will offer many chances to explore filmmaking, animation, broadcasting, performance and more.

There’ll be something for all ages and abilities, whether it’s getting hands-on with multimedia gadgets, joining the brilliantly bonkers Roving Reporter team or getting creative in short performances.

The Media Dreamspace will also be offering an evening programme for the first time this year.

Live music performances will offer a flavour of the Arts Centre programme from afternoon to midnight.

Popular acts from the Altar Club and live lunches will provide both daytime and evening sessions, from solo acoustic folk to catchy ska.

These will be accompanied by projections of film and visual effects, generated during the workshops. And there will be an interactive green screen so festival-goers can showcase their dance moves in the multimedia mix.

Film content documenting festival activities will be produced onsite, with a live edit team on hand. And festival-goers can get involved in the editing process themselves.

The Cabinet of Living Cinema will improvise a live soundtrack to some of the film generated on Saturday and Sunday evening, with a showcase performance of their own material as a Sunday night finalé.

Larmer Tree Festival runs from Wednesday, July 16 until Monday, July 21.
