AN exhibition of work from the 2013 War Artist of the Year is currently on show at Salisbury’s Gallery 21, and there will be the chance to meet the artist at an event being held this evening.

Richard Salter’s latest collection of original artwork, which reflects his emotional response to his time in the army, along with his first ever release of hand-signed Limited Edition giclées are available at the gallery.

Salter, right, who serves with 15 Signal Regiment and is based in Devizes, has spent more than 17 years in the army.

He studied fine art and has painted throughout his military career whether on operations, training or at home.

He recently held his first major solo exhibition in York and has work in both private collections and museums.

The exhibition runs until July 6
