A FREE lunchtime concert from the orchestra and choir of St Francis School, New York is being held at the Medieval Hall in Salisbury on Saturday.
Senior pupils from the school are touring the country and will be performing a varied programme including music from Paul Simon, Lennon and McCartney, Billy Joel and Schubert along with American folk songs and the theme tune from Downton Abbey.
The musicians, who are aged 15 to 18 and members of ensembles, have already performed for dignitaries including the Pope, Bill Clinton and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The free concert will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 12.30pm.
There will be a retiring collection for Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal.
