A POWERFUL double bill of one-performer works reflecting life, loss and the irony in tragedy is coming to Salisbury Arts Centre.
Bootleg Theatre Company will perform Torched by Roger Goldsmith and Cookie by Annie L Cooper.
Torched introduces the audience to Natasha, whose mother has been a manic depressive for two years and whose father is dead – knifed by local youths outside a pub – there’s a flasher outside her house and the sound of police sirens. What’s going on?
The work is performed by Sydnee Howard.
In Cookie, Alex has received the news she had expected, so what else to do but drink copious amounts of gin?
Both plays are directed by Colin Burden and premiered at the Barons Court theatre in London before going on tour.
Deal With It (Cookie & Torched) will be at the Arts Centre on Monday, July 21 at 7.45pm.
