A WIDE range of music, weird and wonderful street theatre and fun-packed workshops were just some of the highlights of this year’s Larmer Tree Festival last week.

Wednesday night saw a bumper crowd turn out to enjoy the incredible voice and stage presence of Sir Tom Jones, which set the scene for a weekend of well-known names and discovering new favourites.

Thunderstorms and torrential rain on Friday night and Saturday morning couldn’t deter the festivalgoers and the sun shone for most of the five-day event, creating the fantastic laidback style Larmer Tree is famous for.

Revellers found one of the best things about the festival was exploring all the things going on away from the stages, with dance workshops, crafts and lots of activities to keep the children entertained. Highlights included exploring the Lostwood and watching the dance pros show off their skills in the Pavilion.

On Saturday there were lots of crazy costumes as people embraced the dress-up day theme of Four Corners of the World with Frenchmen, cowboys and Indians, mermaids, Hawaiians, Egyptian gods, Sultans and air hostesses enjoying the sunshine.
