YOUNG musicians will be showcasing their talents in a competition final on Monday.

Ross Sanderson and Kayleigh McCormick, from the Sound Emporium, set up a competition to find new talent in south Wiltshire’s schools earlier this year.

The competition is divided into two age categories – age seven to 11 and 12 to 16 – and the winner in each category will get a recording package from the Sound Emporium and a guitar and starter pack donated by Musicroom Salisbury.

On the judging panel are Pat Sissons from Spire FM, Paul Nicholson, founder and managing director of VirtualXpo and live sound engineer for Toyah Wilcox and The Humans, Gemma Okell, director of Salisbury Arts Centre, and assistant store manager of Musicroom Salisbury Hamlet Peter.

Tickets to the event are free but must be booked.
