CASTING has been announced for Salisbury Playhouse’s production of Terence Rattigan’s Separate Tables which runs in the main house from October 16 to November 8.

Jane How, who will be familiar to television audiences as Den Watts’ mistress, Jan, in EastEnders and Don’t Wait Up, will play Mrs Railton-Bell.

Her recent stage credits include Trevor Nunn’s Fatal Attraction at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.

Robert Perkins, who played Sergeant Ray Steele in The Bill and was recently in the touring production of Dial M for Murder, will play Major Pollock and Mr Malcolm.

Following his run in Bedroom Farce, Graham Seed, best known for playing Nigel Pargetter in The Archers, will play Mr Fowler.

He will be joined by fellow Bedroom Farce cast members Penelope Beaumont, Mawgan Gyles, Emma Noakes, Emily Wachter and Eleanor Wyld.

Completing the cast are Kirsty Besterman, who last performed at Salisbury Playhouse in Dangerous Corner, Petra Markham and Carol Starks.

Separate Tables is a funny and moving portrait of the lives, loves and quirks of the guests of a Bournemouth hotel in the Fifties.

The production is directed by Salisbury Playhouse’s artistic director, Gareth Machin, and designed by Tom Rogers.

Lighting is by Howard Hudson with sound by John Leonard.

Like Bedroom Farce, this production of Separate Tables is performed with seating surrounding the stage.
