ARTWORKS commissioned by the Wellcome Trust provided the inspiration for local writers whose work will be performed in Salisbury on Saturday morning.
Salisbury Fringe asked wordsmiths to explore ideas prompted by the work of artist Henny Burnett, with the readings to take place at Urmson-Burnett Gallery in Winchester Street, starting at 10.30 am.
The four artworks are based on the chemical elements oxygen, iodine, mercury and arsenic, and range from video to mobile sculpture. All works require a dark environment to be experienced properly, so visitors are being encouraged to arrive promptly. Salisbury Fringe events continue throughout the weekend.
Henny Burnett’s work is also on show at the Young Gallery, where the Cicatrix exhibition ends this Saturday.
