ALTAR CLUB
SALISBURY ARTS CENTRE
Altar Club returned from its summer holiday to flex its musical clout on the live scene once again.
It was worth the wait as an eclectic bill blew the attendees away.
Faux, who can still count their gigs on one hand, showed immense talent in the opening set and performed very tightly.
Middlenamekill have been doing this for a while now and they provided us with a slick wall of alt-rock, they are currently working on their second album. We look forward to hearing the results.
Release The Monkey are the only band like this locally, playing country fused with blues.
Formed from open mic performances and providing great dance-along grooves.
Echo Boom Generation were outstanding, local girl Emma Hughes returned on bass for a hometown debut with multi band mate Linda Buratto taking lead, on this performance the three piece really are one to watch.
The Intercepeteurs delivered a typically energetic and melodic performance getting the Altar end dancing away.
Gaz Brookfield headlined the night backed by a full band for one of the first times, Brookfield when playing solo is a captivating act, so with a full complement we really were treated to a folk filled treat.
