SALISBURY Cathedral’s 2014 Organ Recital Series concludes on Wednesday at 7.30pm with the annual Emery Recital performed by internationally-renowned organist Colin Andrews.

Colin has toured widely as a solo organist, appearing at a number of the world’s most prestigious venues. The programme, which includes works by composers from London, Leipzig and Paris, is entitled “A Tale of Three Cities”. This is an excellent opportunity to hear a superb organist on the Cathedral’s famous Father Willis Organ.

The Emery Recital is held in memory of Walter Emery, the famous Bach scholar who died in Salisbury in 1974. He had a great love of Bach and Colin will be performing several of his works from the editions Emery edited for Novello.

At this final recital, there will be a live video link to the organ loft allowing audience members in the nave to view Colin playing in the organ loft via a big screen.

Tickets at £8 are available at salisburycathedral.org.uk and at the door.

Salisbury Cathedral Organ Recital series presents a recital once a month from April to October on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm. See the website for details.
