A VARIETY of “bite-sized” plays and writers’ workshops are taking place in local pubs and cafés over the weekend as part of the second Salisbury Fringe Festival.
Salisbury Fringe aims to bring together local writers with professional actors and directors to celebrate new writing in the area.
All events are free and include short plays, monologues, workshops, and events for young people.
The first event will take place at 7pm in The Chapel with Launch Night, a live comedy show that will be recorded with the hope of it later being broadcast on the radio.
On Saturday the mad Professor Fringenstein will be entertaining with his own variety of bangs and bonkers behaviour.
Other events on Saturday will be taking place at the Urmson-Burnett Gallery, NewRED Gallery, and The Cloisters.
The highlight on Sunday will be a production by an all female group, Juno Theatre, who will perform a series of short plays inspired by famous women at 5.30pm in Castle Street Social Club with other events at Boston Tea Party and The Cosy Club.
