IT was a highly polished performance of Shakespeare's great tragedy Macbeth at Studio Theatre with the director, Chris Hawley, stamping his mark with a very easy to follow and captivating interpretation. It was great to see a full auditorium, and we were treated to a extremely professional display from the start.
Throughout the play I was highly impressed by the younger actors, especially Stanley Morris (Seyton) and Fraser Adams (Porter’s Son) who both look like they will go onto bigger roles in the future.
This didn’t quite feel like the Shakespeare I’ve seen before – it was fast-paced and invigorating.
With its clever special effects and excellently choreographed fight scenes it had a modern feel.
This is a play that could be enjoyed by just about anybody.
