HALLOWEEN in Salisbury is always spooktacular and this year is no exception.

Halloween Ghost Walks, part of the VisitWiltshire’s Spooky Salisbury event, will take people to explore the former prison cells in the Guildhall and Debenhams, which is reputed to be haunted by the Duke of Buckingham who was beheaded on the site and continues to look for his head.

The tours leave from Salisbury Information Centre in Fish Row on October 25, 28 and 29, 30 and 31. Prices are £2.50 per child, £5 per adult, with an increase to £3 per child, £6 per adult on Halloween itself.

The Salisbury Playhouse is running a ‘Play in a Day Halloween Adventure’ on October 27 from 10.30am to 3pm, where children aged five to seven can spend a day working with directors, technicians, props, costumes and lighting in order to make their own special show. If you want to go further afield to be for your fright night, try the Halloween Festival at Longleat Safari & Adventure Park is open from Saturday, October 11 until Monday, November 3.
